About Road Watch
The Road Watch application allows you to report the location of wild animals that are killed on our roads. By contributing to this project, you will be helping to conserve South Africa's rich natural heritage and making our roads safer for everyone. The information you send us will assist in the identification of the species that are most affected, where the main problem areas are and where mitigation is most needed.
IOS Application FAQ
What information is sent to the Road Watch server?
Your current location, animal description, photo (if submitted with photo) and
your contact information (if you entered this information).
How do I change or delete my contact information?
You can edit this information in the Settings application.
What happens if my device is not connected to the internet?
All sighting information will be saved in the application.
The next time the application is run while connected to the internet it will ask you to allow stored sightings to be uploaded.
What happens if my device is connected to the internet via a cellular data connection?
You will be asked if it is OK to use the
connection, otherwise the sighting will be stored to be uploaded at a later time.
